Houston is actually a Bengal/Norwegian forest cat mix. Bengals are a breed that are domestic cats mixed with Asian snow leopards (I believe that is the correct wild cat). You cannot own one until they are bred about four generations out. The Bengal side of her causes her to be VERY active and VERY vocal. She is definitely a talker, sometimes to the point of annoyance. You have to be incredibly patient with these types of cats because the "talking" is constant. Norwegian Forest cats are natural hunters and climbers. She play stalks our other cats and likes to be as high as she can find herself in the house. These types of cats are definitely special, very beautiful and very high maintenance, but they are incredibly smart and lovable creatures. Despite her quirks, I love that she came into our lives.
