My beautiful cat was acquired at a kill shelter in Savannah, GA. She was three weeks old. I remember having to go on vacation to Orlando Studios but refusing to come back on Monday, just in case it was too late. She was and still is, the most precious decision I've made thus far. I strongly believe she is a Calico, her coat is thick with shades of beige, orange and grey splattered randomly over her body, leaving some very distinctive markings. Her temperament is very calm and loving, usually found curled up in the curve of your knees, although as a kitten, she thought she could fly as she harassed her big brother (my dog), whom by the way handled his newly designated role with finesse. She loves belly rubs, has never whipped her claws out and loves to give kisses. This breed is definitely defies the stigma often attached to cats as pets being cold and unruly. I would suggest this breed to anyone with an abundant amount of snuggles to give and not afraid of occasional shedding, she is full of fur, but its simply because I'd like to consider her my fur ball of love.

Hi Jessie. I just put a deposit down on a Golden Conure. Fell in love with the one in the shop. Will be until summer that I will be able to have mine. Person in shop said they were quiet enough for an apartment, but I have read on line that they are very noisy like most all conures. Now I'm worried and the green cheeked seems better. What is your experience with noise? Thanks.
