O'Malley the Alley Cat

Mr. O'Malley was a stray from birth, found with his identical brother on a friend's doorstep. Flea-ridden and nearly starved, we tried to nurse him back to health, slowly since he wasn't used to people. He fell out of a tree onto the sidewalk as a tiny kitten, and even lost conciousness, but survived. After we brought him to live with our family, (against my better judgement), he has been hit by cars or trucks at least 2x more that we know of. He always has mysterious injuries, but never complains. He's very spoiled, VERY vocal, and is quite the dramatic character. He will actually lie down right in front of where you were walking, on his back like he's dying, and meow with his paws outstretched, just because the bottom of his food dish isn't completely covered. It's quite funny. My favorite thing about him is that we don't need a stinky litter box at all, never have. Since we got him, he's been intent on going potty outside, and if a window or door isn't open already, he'll meow and scratch til you open one. He's pretty tolerant of my kids messing with him, more so when he was younger, but he'll only put up with so much before he takes a swipe or nip at them. Or, sometimes, it seems as though he plots his revenge, as he lies in wait until they've forgotten about him, then pounces in attack on an unsuspecting little leg as payback. Mostly darn good experience, but woldn't recommend to families with small children.
