When I think about max, there are a few stories that come to my mind but one that was personal and kind of funny. When I was young, I would read before bedtime with my pink lamp on. At this time, Max lived in my room at night. He was my cat, I bought him at the SPCA. He would always sleep right on my pillow above my head. So, I would read and when I was tired I would turn off the light and sleep. One night, however, Max had his own schedule that I wasn't aware of. He made me aware though, I tell you. He reached his face down to mine and lightly grabbed my cheek between his teeth. He didn't hurt me, but he basically told me that it was time to sleep. I just remember saying, "Fine!" and turning off the lamp to sleep. That was the end of it. He was never an agressive cat and I don't believe he was trying to hurt me, only to tell me what he wanted. Animals can be so surprising and funny. They all have their own personalities and perhaps even their own agendas. If you pay attention to the signs then you can communicate.
