My Manx, named Pacco was as great a pet as I could ever ask for. In the 6 years that I owned Pacco, we went through the many ups and downs of pet ownership that you could normally have expected, but this cat definitely had his share of pros and cons. He was very loving, enjoyed attention, and was great with younger children however around other pets, especially dogs, he would often run away and hide, or hiss aggressively. He would often shed a fair amount of hair after petting him, and the couch would often be covered in a layer of hair where he sat, however he never smelled bad, and only needed a bath every once in a long while. In our particular case, we ran into a quite a few health issues with this breed of cat, particularly skin issues, which required quite a few vet visits. We received Pacco from a previously abusive owner and he was very skittish and frightened of people, but over time he became very friendly and affectionate. He loved to sleep for hours on the couch and was little overweight at times, but he was always playful and rarely made any loud noises, other than when he wanted food.
If I were to give a final verdict I would say that this breed of cat is a great one to own, even for first-time owners, as long as you are willing to put a fair amount of time into looking after your pet. Unfortunately, my cat passed away last year due
