I love him, but he can try my patience.

We got Buster (now called Big) about ten years ago. He wasn't a rescue in the traditional sense—or maybe he was—; he camped out on our porch for the better part of a week until my dad finally allowed my sister to take him in (I suspect she'd been sneaking food to him the entire time. I personally love Maine Coons: they've got great fur and a beautiful feral appearance. However, Big's got kind of an attitude problem and has been wrecking furniture since day one. He's okay with the family but can be agressive towards strangers. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the breed or his traumatic childhood. Either way, I love him and he's nice to me.
