Life with my Maine Coon

I've had my Maine Coon for some time now. He is probably close to fifteen years old this year. He was originally my grandmother's cat and I can remember playing with him when he was just a kitten. He was given to me a few years ago, and it has been a great experience ever since. He is very gentle, affectionate, and enjoys being around people.

In fact, he has become a great lap-cat over the years. He loves sleeping on your lap or laying near you. He is not attention-craving to the point of being annoying though.

He is getting very old, unfortunately, and is starting to move around quite a bit slower. His coat has always been very long and thick. Even in his old age, his coat is still very beautiful, however, it has become deceptive to how withered he has gotten in his old age.

Overall, my experience with a Maine Coon has been an overwhelmingly positive one. I've never run into another cat quite as calm and gentle as my Maine Coon. I would definitely recommend them to any cat fan.
