My little boy Misha

My soon to be two year old kitty Misha only brings joy to the household. He's very curious and playful, plastic shopping bags being his particular choice of entertainment (he likes to roll around and make holes in them). When my mom first took him he was around 5 months old and had shorter hair. Nobody could have thought back then that he would grow a full on "Lion King" mane! I have suggested to my mom that we enter him in a few cat shows because now that he has such a manly mane, his beauty is unparalleled. ;)
Misha has sudden intense bursts of energy and playfulness in the morning and in the night almost each day where he runs around the house like crazy and even climbs walls spiderkitty style. Yeah, you heard it right. Misha climbs walls.
While I can't speak for the characters of other cats (I believe that each cat has their own unique temperament), Misha is very friendly and calm, even around strangers. He allows himself to be groomed and is very patient all throughout the process. Although a bit picky when it comes to eating (his menu consists solely of pate in the morning, dry food throughout the day and beef in the evening), we took this particular breed because of their good health and big lifespan (15-20 years). I have grown so accustomed to Misha in such a short time that every time I see a "normal" cat with a long tail it looks strange to me.
If you've never owned a cat before and you're looking for a good companion, a kurilian bobtail is an excellent choice!
