Sterling was a miss with my pet ownership journey. She came to us as a young cat under a year old. Despite much training and attempts to bond she just wasnt having it. She was a very aloof and aggressive creature. Beautiful to be sure but cold and uninterested. If you attempted to touch her you were sure to get a bloody scratch. She was a quiet cat who would rather hide hunder a chair than interact with anything people and animals alike. I have only ever had interactions with her of this breed so I am unsure if this is a common personality flaw in them or not. But I do know I would not recommend this breed to anyone with children or to anyone wanting a cuddly pet. Shads seem to enjoy their space and appreciate being left to their own devices.
