First of all, let me give this caveat: I am not a big cat lover. That being said, I agreed to have a cat because my daughters wanted one. They do like cats and loved this one. We acquired her from an acquaintance who had raised it during its first few years of life.

Aside from the minor annoyances (shedding, rubbing up against my legs, having to clean the litter box, etc. - remember by feelings about cats), I was pleased at how independent the cat was. She stayed downstairs most of the time and the girls were always there to play with her and spend time near her.

She was a healthy cat and fairly easy to take care of. She did damage one of our couches downstairs, but other than that, our family was pleased with her and the girls truly enjoyed her.
