Gizmo is a German Rex and i have had him for six fun filled years. Fun filled because he is always active, always ready to play and cuddle. I loved this cat from the day the breeder showed him to me. He had bright eyes and was so willing to cuddle. He isn't the most handsome cat but he definitely has a lot of pluses to his nature. He rarely gets sick, rarely cries out, and he is the best animal companion i have ever had. He loves to always stay around people and cuddle and it never took him long to become everyones friend when i first brought him home. My mom is asthmatic and Gizmo is one of the few breeds of cat she can cope with; he is hypoallergenic. I never wanted a German Rex because i thought they didn't have enough fur but that turned out to be good for me because gizmo rarely needs grooming.
I would however advice anyone with a busy schedule to stay away from a German Rex because they need so much attention. When they are deprived of attention then they become loud and cry out.
