Before I got Shaylee, she was a resident of my local shelter. She'd been born to one of the organization's other females, so while living in a shelter isn't exactly the most ideal of circumstances, I'm grateful that she was never left to the life of a stray. I've had her for about seven years now, and I must say, I love her with all my heart. Though she isn't the most cuddly of feline friends, she does happen to be extremely intelligent and playful. Emphasis on the playful! When experts say that Egyptian Maus are the fastest of the domestic felines, they're not kidding around. Shaylee has little regard for the hour of the day when she decides to come tearing through the house, her feet hammering against the floor like a drill. If you're looking for a quiet and lazy pet, I would have to advise against an Egyptian Mau. If you're looking for an active one, though, then this may just be the cat for you! Though Egyptian Maus aren't for everyone, I personally adore the breed. They're quite possibly my favorite.
