Devon Rex - the alien monkey cat!

My very first Devon Rex - Tommy - is just 10mths old. He was bought from a good professional breeder of Devon Rex cats.
Sometimes I call Tommy an alien monkey because he is just so funny looking! He has a tiny elvish face with big ears and the biggest blue eyes. And when I speak to him, he pays attention, like he's processing what I'm saying to him.
Devon Rex cats are renowned for their affection and Tommy is no exception. He likes to curl up as close to my face as he can get and always has to be a part of what I'm doing.
I'm not sure about other Devon Rex's but Tommy doesn't meow often. Instead, he makes a strange noise, like a cross between a purr and a burble.. a noise likened by me, to the Jetson's car. It really is the cutest thing as he sometimes acts as though he's speaking to me in this cute purble noise, sometimes with a raised inflection as though he's asking me a question.
These cats are definite indoor cats! They are too delicate and gentle to be outside and lets face it, they're so slender and lithe they'd most likely be carried off by a bird or stray breeze. And in all honesty, they just want to be right near their number one person (i.e. you!).
If you want a constant companion, a gentle soul and a sweet demeanour, the Devon Rex is for you.
Oh, and the other reason I call Tommy an alien monkey is because he climbs ladders. I've never seen a cat do that before.. !
