I had max for three years, sadly he recently passed away after being hit by a car.im heartbroken.
Ive worked with rescue animals all my life having fostered both cats and dogs for many years.
Max was the first cat i went to a breeder to get.ive always loved devons.
He was nothing like a regular cat, more like one of my children.
His breeder is a wonderful lady and i am getting a wee female soon from her as my home is empty without a devon!
He wasnt too fussed about the dogs we had,got along well with other cats and surprisingly made friends with my sable goat.
I have two daughters and he bonded with my youngest when she was three, which is why i think they make fantastic family pets, provided the children have a fair understanding of how to behave with pets of any kind.my girls arent the kind to pick up cats like toys and carry them around.
Anyone considering a devon.....prepare to give up a large space in your heart
