When we got our Birman Miez, she was really, really tiny. She stayed pretty small later, too. At the time, we took care of some friends four Borzoi puppies and we had two adult Borzois and two cats already. That meant that Miez had to stand up to a lot of big and wild animals. And she did. She became really confident and when she didn't like something, she just bit the dogs' legs. They respected her after that.

She was very playful, smart and independent. Sometimes she was snugly, but she determined when that would be.

Her one flaw was that she kept meowing and scratching on our doors at night. After you finally opened the door, she wanted to sleep in bed with you, which was ok apart from the bite in the nose you got in the morning, when she wanted you to wake up.

She was a very interesting and entertaining cat.
