My Birman - Merlot

I’ve had Merlot for a few years now - we were given him as a gift from some family friends that were breeders. He’s an absolute lap cat - hates going outside, only wants cuddles, and is a little darling. The obvious downside is because of his long hair, he sheds a lot and requires a lot of brushing otherwise he’s prone to getting knots. He’s also not very resilient like other cats, and needs everything to be done for him. He loves people he knows, but will quickly run away from any unfamiliar dogs/people, and also bullies the cat next door. I’d recommend this breed to anyone since he’s never bitten, scratched, or hissed at us, and is just a very calm cat.
