We picked up our cat, Tetris, at a rescue animal adoption event. He was only 8 weeks old and was a very vocal kitten right from the start. We found him to be extremely loyal to the entire family though he definitely favors my wife. Because we have coyotes in our area, we’ve kept him as an indoor cat and he’s never displayed the same desire to go outside as any of our previous cats, which has been great.

We’ve found this breed to be extremely loving when they want to be but, like most cats, it’s entirely on their terms. Tetris has mixed well with our dog and has been great with the kids. His temperament is quite calm though, particularly during his kitten years, he had a mischievous streak that included stealing bread products whenever he had the chance. Apparently he has some kind of a carb addiction :)

I’d absolutely recommend this breed for a family who wants a cat that’s happy to be a homebody.
