This type of cat makes a wonderful companion. From my experience, this breed is a good balance between people loving and independence. He was a very vocal cat and let us know when he wanted attention. He was a great lap cat and loved to be near people, even strangers. Perfect for children as he rarely scratched. He loved his catnip and cat toys even as he got older. His curiosity and quirks were a joy for the family. As he got older he experienced some hearing loss, lost weight and couldn't jump as high, but other than that he lived a very healthy 15 year long life.
