Not a cat person...

I am not a cat person, but I wanted to put in some very honest remarks about my own experience with domestic cats.
Pros: they are very self-sufficient and low maintenance. If they like you, they will sit on your lap and purr and enjoy being pet.
Cons: Cats/cat litter tends to smell up your house pretty easily, sharp claws that enjoy being sharpened on your furniture, not as easy to train as a dog or other animals, if they do not like certain members in your family they will not allow themselves to be pet or scratch said person without warning. Keep in mind many people have allergies to cats and that is something to consider before bringing one to your home.

I know this review may offend people who love cats, and I do not mean for this to apply to ALL cats. But I am speaking of my general experience with them and my own opinions. Growing up we had a family cat for many many years and I decided cats are not the right pet for me and I will not own one in my own home.
