Cornelia is a mostly-white American Shorthair with orange bits. She was adopted when she was 1 year old and the shelter thought she may have been abused before coming into their care. We think that might be the reason she's still a little skittish. She takes a while to warm up to new people, but she's very affectionate towards her loved ones. She loves to curl up in the crook of my arm and purr. She is always very nice to me unless I touch her belly in a way she doesn't like. She is usually even-tempered but she has occasional bursts of energy and vocalist ion where she will sprint back and forth across the room or meow incessantly for 15 or 20 minutes (and for no apparent reason). She has been a little sickly this year with colds and eye infections. More illnesses than most cats but it might be partially due to the fact that this is he first year in her current home and her life wasn't so good before that. We love her a lot and want to make the rest of her life happy and amazing. Definitely would recommend this breed.
