I have a calico shorthair. She showed up as a stray back in high school and I've had her for years. Never found out her true age, guessing about 7 or 8 years old. I've had many cats through the years, she can get along with just about anybody, however some didn't like her and she just avoided them. Never really has caused any problems. I'd have to say the only cons about her or having her is the daily letterbox cleaning and the fact she loves to kneed and sometimes doesn't realise how deep into your skin her claws go but she understands when you say "gentle" that shes getting a little rough. Pros about her are almost endless. She's one of the best cats I've ever met. The best advice I can give about cats, because I've had some great ones and some crazy ones with strange quirks, is that every time I've had a cat pick me by either finding me or choosing me to cuddle with they've been great cats. On the other hand, cats I've picked seem to be the ones that are still good cats, just all have had a weird or negative trait about them.
