When Mr. MaGoo Adopted Us

My room mate and myself feed feral cats and have been doing so for over twenty-five years. At one of our feeding stops, appropriately name "The Haunted House" Mr. MaGoo was born. He is am American Shorthair with black, gray and white colors and striking markings. Even the veterinarian was struck by how his markings were very pronounced.

Every day the feeding continued as usual and Mr. MaGoo became more and more attached to Kevin, and one day just decided he wanted to come home with him. Not having an available carrier, Kevin and I had to hope and pray the little guy would still be there the next day. He was, so Kevin brought him to his forever home, where everything was very new and scary for him. Even as young as he was, he still was very feral; however, my other cat, Cleopatra, was extremely helpful in making him feel welcomed and re-assuring. He became more and more comfortable until finally he surrendered his feral ways to the love and trust we have for him. He absolutely loves to be patted and held. What a great spirit that found us in a very unlikely place.
