Friendliest Cat Ever

I've had a few cats, but Simon is in a league of his own. He was a happy accident, the kitten of our female cat. He was the first born and largest of his litter, and in only a couple of weeks we could see he was a keeper. His nickname was "Tubby" because he was so large compared to his mother that she could barely carry him. Within 4 months he was larger than his mother, and now that he is full grown he is approximately twice her size. His colouring is fairly typical, orange and white, but the white hair is much softer than the orange. He has a crooked tail, like his mother and litter mates.

What makes Simon really stand out is his personality. I have never had a cat who was as friendly and tolerant as he is. He seems to think he is one of the children, alerting them to their bedtime so they can tuck him in bed with them. He tolerates any amount of play and cuddling from the children without any scratching or biting, and is happy to see us when we arrive home.

He is a good hunter. Although he doesn't seem to have the instinct to eat his prey, he earns his keep. His flaw is that he is very insecure, and gets extremely upset if we go away or if we take him in the car.
