My beloved old cat who still looks like a kitten

My American shorthair is a darling. She is very friendly to people and she watches visitors when they come into our house. She will watch the visitor and accompany us until she deems the visitor is not a threat to our safety. She, like many cats, likes to be left alone, however, if we insist on picking her up, she would just look annoyed and be hugged passively.

Our cat can sense our feelings. Often when we have had a bad day, we will find her approaching us and she will either sit next to us or crawl onto our lap. That’s her way of comforting us. S

She is also cute sweetheart. She is fed at 6p.m. every day but she will never completely finish her food when some or even one of our family members are not home. She would wait, at times until 11p.m., for all of us to be at home, then she will eat up her remaining feed. She does all this quietly so when we finally noticed it two years ago, it was such a beautiful surprise.
