Bringing Home Bo

I adopted Bo about five years ago when I moved into my first house and was feeling a little lonely. She is multicolored, with orange and gray patches that really made her stand out. I can't put my finger on exactly why I chose her, she was terrified when I brought her home, and it probably took a solid two years until she was truly comfortable with me. Still she scuttles under the bed when anyone else comes to the house. But it's really her presence that makes her so important to me. Just knowing she is hidden in my closet, leaving enough hair behind to cover another cat, comforts me. Even though she doesn't run to the door when I get home, she is often resting on the window sill to greet me.
