Her Name is Rio and She Dances on the Sand

I've had my calico cat, Rio, for 5 years now. I first found her on the sandy beaches of Newport, eyes still closed. It was a tragedy when I found her cause i also found her whole family dead. The mother and kittens all died during birth, except for Her. She was slowly crawling around, kind of like dancing. So i decided to name her after the Duran Duran song. 5 years later and she never leaves my side. As i write she is currently trying to get my attention towards her.
Over the past 5 years she has grown quite a bit. Shes not as slim and tall as the other cats, shes pretty short and fat. I still love her regardless. She has a problem with scratching up my carpet and she still hasnt stopped. Im definitly not getting my security deposite back.
Rio loves to listen to Amy Winehouse. When shes feeling down, she'll tear up a grocery bag and chew on my blanket. Greatest cat ive ever had.
She always watches me in the bathroom. She loves that room. Whether I'm showering, doing makeup, or pooping shes always there watching me. Rio only sleeps on my bed, either right next to my side or on my pillow and part of my head. She is my best friend and I know cats don't live forever so I'm hoping I die by her side.
