This cat showed up on the property one year covered in fish guts. Our best approximation was that it was abandoned near the property after being covered with the guts to attract a predator. We washed it up and kept it as an outdoor mousing cat. It eventually had kittens one year and we had to give them away. The cat had always taken care of itself. We would feed it and house it in the garage during the winters. Eventually, we acquired too many dogs and decided to give the cat to my grandmother. Despite being relatively feral for the past few years, the cat has been an incredibly affectionate companion and is in great health.
