My mother wanted a tabby cat, preferably orange, and had my friend and I walk down the street to a house that had a sign that said "Free Kittens". There were three cats left when we got there - two white cats each with a stripe of color on their head and one tabby cat which when we went to see her scurried under the shed. She was a tabby, slightly orange, and I knew she needed to be ours. So I reached under the shed and pulled her out and carried her home. She was attached to my shoulder the whole time.

She soon became my cat more than anybody else. She slept in my room and followed me around the house. I ended up moving out and having to leave her behind and ended up moving back in with another cat that looked exactly like her. She wasn't too happy about that.

However she is very lovey and has a thing for carrying shoes. She will take shoes from all over the house and carry them like her kittens - generally up the stairs to my old bedroom where my younger brother now resides since I have since moved out again. We had installed a cat door in the bedroom door so she could come and go as she pleased and at any point you will find shoes surrounding the cat door or stuck in the hole where the door is.

She is rather overweight, but seems to be in good health. She is very lovey and a great cat. I miss her even though I have gotten another cat to try to take her place in my life.
