Capone the American Shorthair

I lived with Capone for about a year. He is a six-year-old American Shorthair and was one of the coolest cats I ever met. When it came to affection, Capone seemed more like a dog than a cat. He always wanted to curl up in your lap or rub against your leg. He was comfortable with everyone and never hissed at new people.

He is an inside cat and if he accidentally got out of the house, he wouldn’t go to far, but it was still terrifying thinking he might not come back. The only time he was a pest was at 2 in the morning when he'd crawl into bed and walk on my back and wake me up.

Unlike other cats, Capone would let me hold him like a baby. He was declawed by a previous owner so scratching wasn’t something I worried about. Sometime he would bite you out of affection if I played with him. Overall I loved Capone and I would definitely get another American Shorthair.
