Phineas is very independent. Although friendly when around the family and others. He spends most of his day lounging around by himself, occasionally bothering himself to interact with us when he needs more food in his bowl. He is very nice, and likes to cuddle on rare occasions when he is in the mood. He occasionally scratches furniture which is somewhat bothersome. I must admit I am not a cat person (the rest of my family insisted on rescuing Phineas from a barn), however because he is so easy to care for and occasionally friendly, even I haave grown to love him.
