Precious was present for my 12th birthday. I got her when she was just 3 months old and we are still together almost 15 years later.

Precious is a very sweet cat. She was very active as a kitten, like most cats, but she settled down into a more laid back cat as an adult.

Her health has been incredibly good. Except for routine visits for check-ups and vaccines, she has only needed to go to the vet twice, both for physical injuries, not illnesses.

Grooming is not too difficult, even with a long-hair coat. When she was younger, I would brush her once or twice a week. Now as a senior kitty, she needs a bit more help with grooming and I brush her every day.

She isn't picky with food, but has a sensitive stomach. However, by just being careful about the ingredients in her cat food, she rarely gets an upset stomach.

Unfortunately, as a kitten, she was attacked by a dog and injured and this has resulted in a life-long weariness about dogs larger than her (she is fine with toy breeds). We have dogs, but they are not allowed one the second floor of our house (where I live), so she always has a place to feel safe.

She is a very calm cat. Other than larger dogs, the only thing she gets nervous about is loud thunderstorms.

Having her in my life for the last 15 years has been wonderful. She has been my best friend and I always look forward to coming home and seeing her.
