Acquired: Breeder (hobby breeder)

We moved into an apartment that didn't allow dogs of a medium or larger size. We decided to get a cat. I was reluctant to acquire one, since I had never much liked cats. However, I was game, so I did a little research and found that cats are more stable when they are in pair groups, and best when you can bring home siblings.
When I got Starbuck, I acquired her sibling, Athena. Starbuck is a beautiful orange and tabby calico with wide green eyes and a crooked tail. She is extremely affectionate to me and likes to stay within eyesight of where ever I am.
She ranges from polite tolerance to affection with other humans. She tolerates our hyperactive dog and slowly accepted the two additional cats we eventually got and now treats them as part of her pack.
She's intelligent but not particularly playful. She played more as a kitten and now plays only occasionally, when the mood suits her.
She's a good groomer and keeps herself clean. I've never had any litter box issues with her or any of our other cats. She started life as an indoor-only cat and has recently gained access to the outside. She still mostly spends her time indoors but uses the outside to potty.
She will let little kids know if they are pushing her limits but isn't aggressive. She'll run before she bites or scratches.
