I was never a cat person, in fact, I was always the person to move away from climbing cats when I would visit people who had one. Before we had kids (or a dog) my husband talked me into going to see an adorable kitten, and I was sold. Casey was a very playful kitten, who enjoyed clawing at our feet when we attempted to sleep. While it was all in good fun, we both walked around with scratched up feet for a while. Despite this, he grew up to be a nice, friendly, cat who became part of our family. When we eventually decided to get a dog, they became fast friends, and we would often find them cuddling. Unfortunately, as Casey got older, he decided he did not like using the litter box anymore. With young kids crawling around, this did not work for us, and we had to find him a new home. Overall, cats are a nice pet to have, and relatively easy to car for. That said, I am still a dog person, and much prefer, having one around my house.
