The Orange Tabby

Oliver is a cat who I have spent a lot of time with, he is not technically my own cat, but I felt the need to write a post on him and my experience with him and other orange tabby cats. For some reason I am very drawn to the orange tabby, first there was Pumpkin-my own chunky tailless orange cat. He was the sweetest most friendly cat I have ever owned, he was mellow, good with other animals, and unlike most cats, was not aloof. Sadly we lost Pumpkin due to pancreatic cancer, but I enjoyed my time with him and miss him dearly. Pumpkin sparked my interest with the orange tabby and since then I have loved them. So naturally when my roommate acquired and unwanted orange tabby, Oliver, I was thrilled. Oliver was just a kitten when he moved in, he was very playful, toys, lazer pointers, and hands where some of his favorite toys. As he grew a little older he became mellow and very friendly just like my old pal Pumpkin. I write this post to strongly recommend the american short haired orange tabby. For some reason they have proven to be the best cats I have ever known. I will be including some photos of Oliver as a kitten and what he looks like now, he is very photogenic so be sure to give them a look.
