We had this cat for a long time – she followed us home from the farm she had been dropped off at. She used to ride the horses, no kidding! In her younger years she was very playful and friendly. She got quieter as she got older and less playful due to arthritis and kidney problems. Still, she was always very affectionate. She loved snuggling in bed and would even get underneath the covers.

Since she was a shorthair, she never needed any special grooming besides having her nails trimmed. After we took her in, she became an indoor cat completely. We decided that this would be safer and helpful in preventing her from getting fleas/ticks/parasites as outdoor pets are prone to getting. Toby lived to be an old age, around 16 years.
