I wasn't fond of getting a cat though I had one as a kid for many years. It was more of a gift for the kids so I was okay with it. It was difficult to potty train the cat and she kept urinating on our couches or on our dog's bed. Quite frustrating. I was ready to give the cat back after the third time but acquiesced and decided to give her another chance. She's a loving cat and snuggles with the kids but has had a problem lately with urinating. She's still young so we'll give it some time.
