I'm not exactly a cat person, but I took care of Miles for about three years while his owner was renting an apartment that couldn't have animals. Miles was not your typical cat; he was rather more like a dog with some cat tendencies. He was very friendly with people and constantly wanted attention. He used to scratch and push at my door during the night to come in. He also did not get along well with Angus, our dog - Miles would taunt Angus and end up hiding somewhere in the house until I came and took Angus away.

However, he was a sweet cat and enjoyed playing with almost everything, especially his toy mice. He slept in the sun every day and liked to get under the covers, too. Miles was a bit heavy as I left his food out and he ate most of it, but I don't think he was unhealthy because of it.

He did have a habit of purring loudly almost constantly if he was around you, and liked to jump on your lap when you were eating. It was next to impossible to do anything productive with him around. Miles also had a habit of drinking out of water glasses, which would have been cuter if he didn't leave hairs in the water when he was done.

I think if I were more of a cat fan I would have liked having him as a pet much more than I ultimately did.
