Keep in mind that every cat is different, and that's what makes every cat so great. My cat, still alive and kicking at my parent's, is very relaxed type of cat that didn't really seek attention, but rather gave attention. He's autonomous in his own ways and does his own thing without asking for much besides a bowl of fresh cat food. He's an outdoor cat and hangs outside near the house. So much so, we didn't have a litterbox inside. The only downside to this was that he would scratch the front door whenever he wanted in or out at odd times of the night. I love my cat because he just does his own thing, and gave a lot of his love back to the family.
