Cats: A good choice for a busy life

A healthy cat makes for a fairly easy pet. They are intelligent and independent, allowing you to work a 9-5 job without feeling too guilty about leaving them alone at home.

Cats personalities can vary, but they tend to be affectionate.

A word of warning: if you practice free-feeding (leaving unlimited food out during the day when you are away from home) make sure to STOP free-feeding your pet after they get spayed/neutered. Once this happens, their energy level declines a little bit and their hormones are altered, which makes it very easy for them to pack on extra weight quickly...and it can be very hard to get the weight OFF of a cat.
