I have had my cat Maebe for quite a few years now, and we got her when she was just born. She has always been an extremely playful and bouncy pet, constantly looking for someone or something to play with. She is loving - occasionally, but otherwise she is quite aloof and wary. She was an indoor cat for quite a while, and because her ears are light, she is extremely sensitive to sunlight, so we have to apply lotion to her ears before she went out. We lived in a house that wasn't safe for her to go out, and since moving, she has actually become a much nicer cat, with the ability to go outside and play with the birds and insects.

Although when we first got her she would chase the children and occasionally scratch people's legs with her claws, she always loves being in a room with people, and will always go to the room with the most people in it. She is extremely easy to take care of and grooms herself, and is a bit like a human being in that she has her mood swings! The only thing I wish is that she could cuddle or like to be held more, as she constantly panics whenever she is picked up. I have heard that male cats are more loving of this breed, and so perhaps if you are looking for a more cuddly, child-friendly cat, go for a male!
