Never a Cat Hater that this one couldn't Win Over

Fig is incredible. If all cats were like Fig, everyone would want one.

I met my little guy when my roommate was working as volunteer coordinator for a no-kill cat shelter. She had a Siamese (Cotton) and thought it would be a good idea to get her a friend.

While in the kitten room, playing with prospects, Fig hopped up on my lap. As other little ones approached, Fig politely put his paw on their foreheads and gently pushed them away, claiming me for his own.

When I told my roommate about my selection she wasn't happy. She thought he was ugly. Being completely honest, he was a little funny looking at the time.

We left the shelter with her telling me if I was still thinking about him the next day that we would return for him.

The moment I left I knew I had to go back the next day.

The next day until this day, Fig has been one of my best friends I could ever ask for.

Fig knows when I'm happy and shares in my joy, he knows when I'm sad and curls up next to me to offer comfort, and he knows to love those others that I love, too.

Fig has met a lot of people that "HATE CATS" but they all seem to leave saying, "Okay, yeah, Fig is cool."

It might be the fact that he is present but not needy? Or maybe that he is shy but not skittish? It's probably his super impressive tricks, though.

Fig knows how to come when called, cuddle on command, and sit when told.

Yeah, he's that rad.

All in all, I have ZERO complaints about my little guy and would clone him for anyone that needed their own if I could.
