My parents got Cleo before I was born, and we had her up until I was in middle school I believe. She didn't like me much when I was younger, but I think she was just jealous because I took attention away from her when I was born. Once I got older, she let me pick her up, but she always would sit on my lap if I wanted her to, and she often slept curled up around my head ever since I was young. She lived up until around 18 years old, and when she was younger she was very playful and loved playing with little toys that my dad would make. When we got my second cat she became more aggressive towards him, but again I believe it was just jealousy. She was very small and very quiet, and except to get fed or to cuddle with someone, she often just kept to herself, sleeping near your feet or at your side.
