As a dog lover, I never thought I would ever consider owning a cat. But, never say never. When I was young single guy living in my first apartment ever and spending most of my weekends sailing, it seemed a dog was out of the question, and it was. It just would not be fair to the dog but it was just not practical. A friend of mine said get a cat because they pretty much look after themselves. I was even allowed to “borrow” Misty for a couple of days. I do not know why I agreed, but I discovered I was allergic to cats after a few short and returned Misty. I never remember sneezing that much in my life. I was told there were other breeds but I am now convinced more than ever I am a dog guy. Misty, I was told, was an American shorthair cat. I know there are other breeds but in spite of everything I believe Misty’s breed to be the best looking cat around and that is why I agreed to try and see if it would work for me. I am very grateful that I did not have to spend money to find out it would not work.
