Zoe - An evolving companion

I got Zoe when she was 9 weeks old, from a man who had gotten a german shepherd and was concerned, although I wasn't sure for her or for the dog, aggressive kitten she was. She has evolved over the years, was a wonderful mother to 2 litters and in recent year has become super affectionate. Other cats I've had have changed little over the years whether personality or appearance. Zoe is one of those who would be unrecognizable from the kitten she once was. I don't consider this a downside, as I find change and personality development in my pets attractive and intriguing.

As a pet, she's about perfect for me. Vocal, but conversationally, deeply affectionate, but not constantly, can handle being on her own for several days, but is vocal about it when I come home after a trip. She does sometime decide not to use the kitty litter box, gets into the occasional fight with other cats who wander in the property, and sometimes kneads me especially hard, but I consider those minor and intermittent faults considering that she's otherwise been an enjoyable, playful and snugly cat over they years I have had her.

Ps. like many cats, Zoe is an excellent hunter. However, unlike other cat's I have known, her sole prey of choice are moths, so her overall environmental impact is very, very small.
