I have now and have had for a number of years an American Shorthair cat, and it is a pretty much useless cat. IT is always rubbing around my legs etc. then any time that I try to play with it or pet it, the useless cat just lies down in its bed. It is always in the way like getting my attention, then when I attempt to give it attention unless I have food it cares nothing for me. This cat, that I should have named Garfield, knows it is not supposed to lay on the sofa or davenport, however the minute I leave the house it lays there. When I open the door it just looks at me until I move it off of the davenport.

This cat mews and then when I get up to see what it wants it walks off to its bed, it is a useless pet not worth having. It never wants to play or spend time with me; it just wants me to know that it is there in my way.
