My Best Friend

I've had Raja for almost two years now, and I couldn't be happier. I rescued her from an animal shelter, and was immediately impressed by her playfulness, friendliness, and intelligence. She is a bit on the quirky side, but it makes her the ideal pet for me! She's a very visible cat (she doesn't hide under beds or in closets--she likes to be around people), and is extremely friendly with all people. She's very low maintenance and very easy to take care of. I would recommend this breed to beginners who have never owned a cat before.

The only downside I've experienced is Raja's insistence on destroying potted plants (I've tried every trick in the book, and nothing has deterred her). She occasionally scratches the furniture but I've been able to modify that behavior with the purchase of additional scratching posts and other toys to keep her occupied.

Overall, I'm extremely happy with my cat. She's the perfect companion.
