I found Grizzlebee sleeping in a shelter cage as if he had all the time in the world, and no care about anything. He was the biggest cat I had seen in a long time, and I loved him immediately.
I tried to keep him inside like shelter cats should be, but he was clear that his world was outside. After about two months, he just moved out and took over the woods. Surprisingly, although the woods had claimed five cats before him, he survives.
I love my survivor cat. He stares down the dog whenever the dog gets frisky with him. He is so independent, yet he loves to come to me for pets and scratches.
Rescue cats really do know you saved them from a harder life, and they have more love to give than the average cat.
