Midnight - Cute Curmudgeon

Midnight was a bit of a curmudgeon kitty. He wasn't particularly friendly, and would bit you if you didn't pet him just right. However he did have a favorite person in the house that he always ran to before that person left for the day or got home. This was very similar to other cats of the breed I've had in that they typically have a favored person in the family. From everyone else, he required very little attention.

He was also particularly hardy. The only time we had to take him to the vet was due to injury or annual check up. He was an indoor-outdoor cat, and he ended up getting run over by a car because he did not have a good understanding of the danger of the street. He survived, despite being pretty beat up, losing an eye, and having one side of his head misshaped. He even made it another ten years to the age of 15, still caught plenty of mice, and actually became a good deal less grumpy after the accident.

They're a very good breed for a single person or couple.
