Wonderful Family Companion

We rescued a little calico kitten when she was roughly three months old and named her Angel. She was extremely playful and friendly and get along well with the entire family. She was never very cuddly, but she liked to sit next to us when we sat on the couch and would always greet us at the door when we came home from work or school. She sometimes got a little aggressive when she played, but would stop if we did and was never aggressive without being provoked.

Angel was not an angel with our dog (a larger Border Collie/Blue Heeler mix). She would try to scratch her and would hiss every time they were in the same room. Neither ever injured the other, thankfully.

We had her for about 14 years. She never learned to like strangers, and would hide if people she hadn't seen several times before came into the house. As she got older, she did what a lot of cats do - calmed down and started to sleep a lot. She wasn't as interested in playing, but would sometimes.

Overall she was very healthy, and we rarely had to take her to the vet for anything other than her heart worm medications. Angel was a wonderful cat and we miss her constantly.
