The Love of my Life

This is a somewhat difficult review to write. "Baby," was given to me by my fiance before we married at just a few weeks old. I immediately fell in love. She was very sympatico with my personality. I remember giving her popcorn as an experiment (which she loved,) and I was amused by the little crackling sounds from her tiny body. Quite hilarious.

She slept in my bed and though she didn't feel the need to follow me everywhere, she was there when I needed her. A part of me. On my lap, my leg, in my arms when she felt affectionate, which was often.

Her personality meshed with mine so completely, that I truly felt this is what a child would be like. I had my own child a few years later and Baby was not amused much by that idea. She pushed at the newborn to try to get her off my lap, but she was never ever aggressive. Still, I trusted her and all was well.

I came home one day after a few years to find that my husband had given her away to "friends," whom I still am not clear about. What friends? Why? How could he give away my family member? It seems that his visiting high-maintenance, allergic sister from England made him do it. She told him cats were dirty and that he should get rid of it or she'd not enter our house. I was fine with that arrangement, (her never entering our house.) But I had no warning in that matter. She was gone. 12 years later and I am still 100 % pissed off at this, but I just don't want to know if the cat is alive or not.

Needless to say, the husband is now my ex and has been for 10 wonderful years. ;)

I would highly recommend this breed of pet and would 10000% try to find another, similiar one for myself. For me, she was the perfect companion. Better than most humans I know.
